I know I know...

so I haven't found the time to update my blog a lot these days. Isabella and work has kept me really busy. I also forgot my camera at a friends house, but lucky Gammy has a camera in Iz's face all day! lol
Iz is getting so big. She loves to smile (no laugh yet...but I can't wait for it) coo and make all kind of noises. She now grabs things and tries to put them in her mouth. She can't quite figure it out though so she just kinda slobbers all over it. She has 2 favorites toys, her little bear (I call her "wubba wubba" not sure why) and her little cholita from Peru.

Here are a few shots of my angel...

Besos!
I think we have another "Us Weekly" reader...
At my house I generally rock Isabella to sleep, then put her down. My mom though just puts her in her crib and this is what she looks like in 20 minutes! WTF. For the record, Iz would never never do this for me. Maybe I should have bought the same crib my mom has...he he he (oh, you can see Isabellas Wubba Wubba in this picture) she loves him.

Gammy! where are you!

OMG, vaccinations suck! my baby has never been so sad! Since we got home I can't put her down! I have 2 sick people in my house, Christian threw out his back and is out for the count, and Isabella won't let me put her down! Where is Gammy!

I will never have Isabella's shots done what Gammy is out of town!

Gammy, we miss you!

Dr. appointment

I can't believe she is already 11 weeks old!

She has started to smile a lot, copy other people's noises, and she now loves to stand (with lots of help of course!).

Today we went to her check up appointment, which i was both excited for and scared.
I knew she needed her shots today and the thought of her in pain mad me so sad! We did make the decision to only get 3 vaccines at one time so today she only got poked once. She cried a little and I nursed her right away but she kept looking at me with her bottom lip curled out and tears in her eyes, i could feel my heart break...I cant believe I have to go again in 2 weeks!

Anyway, we have one healthy girl, and I am thankful everyday. She weighed in at 12lbs 15 oz, she is 23 3/4 in long (85th percentile for both) and her head measured at 16.5 (60th percentile).

Here is my big girl looking a little serious...

a little R&R....

I finished up working on Friday and Christian said he had a surprise trip for Isabella and I. I was a little excited but it was short lived (I just kept thinking that he was going to take us somewhere like Palm Springs...fun for most but not me...was this a secret Christian GOLF trip?). Anyway, Friday came and went with no surprise! agggg.... :) I woke up on Sat, and like the spoiled brat I am, asked him about my surprise! He said well go pack a bag for you and Isabella. I got excited but then thought, please no Palm Springs...anyway, we got in the car and jumped on the freeway with the dogs in tow. The dogs got dropped off and off we went....We take our dogs to their vet (for grooming and boarding) which is in Irvine. I thought it was weird that we never got back on the freeway but about 5 minutes later we were at our weekend get away in Newport Beach..lol

It was really nice to get away for the weekend, even if it was only 10 miles away. We sat out by the pool, ordered room service, got served on, it was nice! I got coffee and breakfast in bed every morning, and all the family hung out in our PJ's until noon! even Isabella! it was a nice break from reality.

Thanks Baby! I needed a little R&R and it was so much fun to hang with the family!

Blast from the past...

so I was going through some old pictures and I stubbled over a great blast from the past photo! I know this won't mean much to some of you, but to those that know Nicole and JR this is funny...(baby reynolds for those that read blogs). Here is a photo of the two (now married, but when the photo was taken, JUST friends!) at our high school senior breakfast at lake park. Who would have guessed that the two, just 10 years later (okay maybe longer...whatever, I know I'm getting old!) they would be married with 2 kids almost!

Classic

I think I should tell Isabella that getting her diaper changed isn't a game, but look at her laughing her butt off about it! too cute! she doesn't it every time! once that diaper comes off, she just starts laughing and smiling...I always think she is up to something...I had to share

Working at home mom....WOW!

Well, like being an at home mom wasn't enough, this week I have decided to try to go back to work (from home). Let me be the first to tell all those that think this is an easy task....IT ISN'T! Balancing the house, the baby, and now clients, well...I think I need to be 2 people. So, based on the last few days I have been inspired to make a request of those that read this blog....

If you have a significant other at home with a child or know a mom that stays home with a child....tell them you love them and appreciate all they do! Being an at home mom is the most under appreciated job by most and one of the most selfless jobs there is! I say this because before Isabella was born I didn't understand it. I didn't get how an "at home mom" spent the entire day...well let me be the first to say it is not on my butt in front of the TV...and now as I am working too...It is even harder.

Although I am a workaholic and miss many aspects of the "old me", my job as a mother is the most important and one smile from my angel makes the next dirty diaper, feeding session, bath etc...worth it.

I LOVE my new swing..and this give mom some time to get stuff done!
This is how a working mom does it! If people only knew! lol
I know I know, breaking the rules..but she loves it! and she naps longer this way!
Why so serious Isabella??

8 weeks old already....

Sorry for the short hiatus things have been a little nuts here. I am trying to start working from home which is a lot harder than it looks! I have my home office all set up and will start on Tues...honestly it feels like a century since I last worked and I'm not sure if I still have it! I guess only time will tell...

Lately, I have been trying to get out of the house as much as possible going to the mall, running errands, we even went to the Aquarium). It still isn't easy but she is liking it more and more. I still get a little nervous when she doesn't fall asleep while we are driving, but so far so good. (we have had a few melt downs, but none that a pacifier hasn't stopped).

Here are a few random shots of our little miracle just being herself! I love her more each day and I can't imagine waking up to any other smile...at least not for a while! lol

This outfit was really funny. Christian got her dressed and I am super bummed I didn't get a full body picture! she is wearing her Paul Frank onesie and some white pants with yellow/green flowers. The onesie is PINK! Not sure where the yellow and green tied in...even she wasn't feeling it!

When I look in the mirror driving this is what I see....hilarious!

Us at the Aquarium

And I have introduced a new item in her wardrobe...Sun Hats! I'm not sure if she has a little head or if the people that make infant hats just don't get it because she doesn't fit in any of them! I finally found one that fits her now at Jack and Jill (I had to buy a preemie hat!). She barely fits in their 0-2 month line of hats but most other places are ridiculous! (she looks a little Japanese in this picture?? not to worry people, our mailman isn't Asian! lol)

I think she had enough of the camera at this point...
