Pregnancy Update

So we have had a bad run of OB's lately! We went back to Belli's OB down in Laguna but she had a large staff change and it just wasn't the same. After months of 1.5 hour waits to see Dr. R for a 2 minute appointment, among other things, errors, etc. we decided to move OB's and find someone closer to the new house when I was about 22 weeks pregnant.

I did some internet searches and found a new Dr. in Orange. Well, needless to say, after 2 appointments we just can't keep going to her. All I can say is that internet marketing can make a bad doctor look AMAZING!

Thank god we spoke to a friend that works at the hospital where we are delivering at (why I didn't do this before is beyond me!) and found out more about our "new" OB. Nothing like getting a "true" opinion about a doctor. Our luck...it was not a good assessment!

We now have another appointment with a different OB on June 2nd!

3rd OB in 1 pregnancy!! I swear I am not psychotic!

Anyway, we did get to see a Dr. (not our Dr. she was "not available" after we waiting 45 minutes to see her) they asked us to reschedule....and of course that was NOT happening! so I kicked and screamed until they brought in someone else.

32 week appointment: Measuring better this week. Only at 33.5. Gained 3 pounds since my last appointment 5 weeks ago, also good (I think my knees will only hold a few more pounds anyway), baby is head down, heart rate is above 140, proteins good.

Hopefully we have better luck with our new OB. Cross your fingers!

Ranch Las Palmas!

I have been in need for a much needed vacation with my family! Just over adult life.

My parents, Christian, Belli and I, loaded up in the car and headed to Palms Springs. I did some research on some kid friendly locations and Rancho Las Palmas was one of the resorts that came highly recommended. Well, it was perfect! and just what we needed!

It has one of the coolest pools ever! The rooms were nice too!

We actually got rooms right next to my parents so it was great. We had dinners and breakfast on our porch and spent some great time together as a family of 5....We got to bring in our own food which definitely made this a budget friendly trip.

Anyway, Isabella was so excited to go swimming that she didn't sleep at all on the way up to Palms Springs. We got there around 10.30 and went straight to the pool. You'd think she went to bed early....not a chance! We left the pool around 4.30 to get ready for dinner....and Belli didn't hit the bed until 9.30 pm!!

She woke up the next morning asking to go back to the "beach." There is a little play area for kids with sand that leads up to the lazy river. What a weekend!

Belli's New friend

So I got a call from my mom today telling me that Belli has a new friend. A few minutes later she sends me a picture of her new friend. First I thought, a rubber turtle? than I kept looking and there it is....a baby duck!

Did we just adopt a duck? is that even legal?

Boy or Girl??

So we decided not to find out the sex of the baby this time. It wasn't a hard decision with all that was going on. Now that we are getting closer though, I feel completely unprepared!

If we have a girl, we are all set! But what if it's a boy? What exactly do you do with a boy? It's like starting parenthood over.

The other main issue is clothes. Most of the toys and swings, etc are gender neutral so that is good. It's not like pink onesies are going to be good for him. What would I do?

This is keeping me up at night. I mean really....if give birth, when am I going to have the free time to go shopping???

How does one do this....
