Tinkerbell/Car Bday Party.

This year we decided to throw the kids a joint birthday party. I was struggling with exactly what I was going to do since Belli was set on having a Tinkerbell party. I didn't want Jonah to look back and wonder "why am I wearing a peter pan outfit on my birthday?" so I went with a totally different theme for him...and the Tinkerbell/Cars party was created!

It was a wonderful party and we had a great time. The weather (although it was HOT) didn't get too bad until later so the kids ran around and had an overall good time.

Thanks to all that attended and made this such a special event!

Jonah turns 1!

What a busy July! This past Friday we celebrated Jonah's first birthday! Where did the time go!

He is such a good boy...and always in to EVERYTHING! Baby proofing is a must with this one. He opens doors, sliding screen doors, crawls outside, up the stairs, pull down pictures, destroys Isabella's castles, ripes out doll hair...you name it!

Here is my happy boy on his birthday. See you all on Saturday!

Can she wear amy more floaties? 2 lil devils...

SO excited to run/walk/push around the yard!

Redwoods 2011

Every year we take a trip to Northern California and spend a few days in the Redwoods. This has been a family tradition for Christian since he was only a few weeks old. I am so thankful to his parents that we have been able to keep this tradition going.

We were a little nervous traveling with both kids for such a short period of time, but honestly it was perfect. Our little angles/monsters were great!!! We left John Wayne at 8pm and both kids were asleep before we crossed over LA. Getting the rental car etc was a little like a riddle, that we didn't do that great in solving..."How do you get 2 cars seats, 3 suitcases, a stroller, and 2 kids from the baggage claim to the rental car with 1 adult inside and one outside...." UMMM.....

Anyway, we survived and it was nice to "unplug from the word" (no phone service AT ALL for 2.5 days).

Here are a few pictures (didn't carry my camera around much...sorry) from our weekend!

Jonah hanging with the ladies by the river
Always snack time for this big boy! Nice boat ride down the roaring rapids
This little boat was the best! River style play pin

Getting Belli read for a big swim....water was sooo cold so these were totally unnecessary...she just ran in and out of the water bringing sand and water ...etc

Bellis best friend "Amy Jane" These kiddos made her trip.

Elmo Tomato Plants

Almost exactly 1 year ago, The Finston's got Isabella a cute little "Elmo Tomato Planting Seed Set." The set came with a little gardening bag, shovel, and a bunch of tomato seeds. Shortly after her birthday party, we went out to the backyard and planted these little seeds and now...one year later....we have a HUGE tomato garden!

Elmo Garden however has now been renamed the "Tinkerbell" garden (Elmo lost his cool at about 2.5, but is making a come back in Jonah's world).

Her little garden has made some wonderful salads through out the year!

Jonah is never too far away from the fun. He too enjoys squeezing the tomatos until the explode...doesn't like to eat them, but love to destroy them!

My little monster is almost 1! good lord!

Happy B-day Isabella!

I can't believe were the time goes!!

Isabella turned 3 this past weekend. I'm really not sure who was more tired after a fun filled weekend of activities, me or her, but it was an absolute blast!

My parents, Christian, and I decided to buy Isabella her very own jungle gym. Thankfully I read a few reviews of this and decided to listen and "prep" this per the instructions.

I truly believe it helped...however....it was not a fast project! The trick was not letting Belli see the jungle gym before her b-day. My mom picked her up Friday night for a slumber party and she didn't return until 9pm on Sat (I turned off my headlights as I approached the house) so she was totally shocked Sunday morning...Happy birthday my angel. You make me proud each and everyday. My you always love and laugh as you do today.

The start of the project (8am)

Only 6.5 hours later! (keep in mind, my dad is a general contractor!)

The BIG REVEAL!
