vocal cords...holy moly

well the last few weeks have been rather quite. Isabella doesn't (I mean didn't) really cry at all...but wow does this child of ours have vocal cords. It has only happened 3 times now but when she gets mad, well she is PISSED! I guess she is more like her mom than we thought! lol She has got a temper like no other and goes from fine to WOW in a few seconds flat. I must say that I have found a way to stay calm and just shhhh! (the sound) in her ear and settle her down in a few minutes but it really breaks my heart because when she cries now she cries with tears! it so sad...her eyes get all red and her eye lashes get all wet...However, I must admit, the first time it happened I freaked! I tried everything and nothing worked and panicing didn't help, and we were at Javiers at the spectrum of all places (at lunch time!). Thank god my mom was there with me. She had our salads boxed up and the bill paid in seconds and we were out of there. Once I stepped out of the restaurant she stopped crying and went to sleep. Since then, I figured I would slowly try what I could to calm her down (almost like a check list) and the most important thing for me to do was to stay calm.
As most of you know, patience is not a virtue that I embodied pre Isabella but there must be something said about motherhood. Almost like once your child is born (I think 10 months of pregnancy helps too) and your body starts producing milk, your body instinctively produces patience too.
I know she will end up teaching how to be a better mom and person. I wonder what she has got up her sleeve for her next lesson??
